Tuesday 20th April the 2010 Annual Awards night for the Baking Industry of Queensland was held in the Grand Ballroom at Hillstone in St Lucia.
The South East Queensland Award was judged on the following:
- The one feature of the Bakery that makes it stand out from the rest.
- How we train and encourage our team.
- Do you have any Green initiatives in place such as recycling.
- The different marketing strategies implemented.
- Menu options
After getting through the first round of judging there was a short list of bakeries that were then mystery shopped where they judged you on:
- customer service,
- store & staff presentation,
- cleanliness,
- product and food handling practices.
