If you haven’t already made plans for Australia Day, come on down to the third annual Australia Day Show and Shine Car Show with its inaugural Pineapple Challenge, and help to celebrate the pineapple growing heritage of the Glasshouse region. The event will take place at the Glasshouse Mountains Sports Club, Steve Irwin Way, Glasshouse and Beefy’s is proud to be a supporter.

It’s set to be a great day out with plenty of shiny cars on show until midday, and lots of fun for all in the afternoon thanks to the Pineapple Challenge. What’s more, you can enjoy a whole lot of Beefy’s pies if you nominate to participate in the Pineapple Challenge.

The Pineapple Challenge is made up of a number of classic Australian games with a pineapple twist. Events including the pineapple hammer throw and pineapple and shovel race (similar to the traditional egg and spoon race) will feature.

In addition, if you fancy yourself as a pie-eating-contest type or a classic Aussie Junior Ironperson, Ironman or Ironwoman, you are definitely ready for a couple of the games involving our world class pies.

The pie eating contest will require you to eat three Beefy’s pies as quickly as possible. The person to eat the three pies in the least amount of time will win $50.

The Ironman and Ironwoman contest involves a number of pineapple based activities and concludes with participants downing a pineapple juice and a Beefy’s pie, offering $100 prize money.

Don’t be shy! You could be the one to take out the prize money and the title. Get the family organised and get on down to the Glasshouse Mountains Sports Club this Australia Day.
